Welcome to my Blog!!

Hello y'all! It's been a long time coming, but I've finally decided to take the plunge and start this blog which has been a desire of mine so that I can share the places we go, the pictures I take, and some thoughts on life. As more of an introvert, it's been hard for me to open up and share things about our life, but I know so many of you want to get a glimpse into the places we go and the pictures that I take. My goal with this blog is to step out of my comfort zone and share my passion of photography, and a desire to write. Whether that's about our latest adventure, or deeper thoughts that I've been pondering over, so stay tuned and I hope you enjoy my blog!!

Montana is home to me and my husband David, although we are gone for extended periods of time because we do long haul trucking. I'd say one of the greatest things about trucking is it has allowed us to see a lot of the country that otherwise we may never have had the chance to. And out of all the places we have traveled, there's still no place like Montana!!

Here's some snapshots from our latest visits home.

We are usually gone for 5-6 months at a time, so when we come home all I want to do is get outdoors and soak in the majestic beauty around me.

This picture is taken below the Libby Dam, and as you can see is such a picturesque pitstop on the bike. It's one of our favorite roads to ride because the scenery is so lovely!

David loves riding his motorcycle, so we try to ride as much as we possibly can in the short amount of time we have at home!! There's nothing quite like hopping on the bike on a summer evening after its cooled off a bit and riding through the mountain roads. And the best part is chances are you won't even see another vehicle the whole time you're cruising.

Behind our place at home is the most tranquil little meadow surrounded on all sides by evergreen. When you're back there it really feels like you've stepped into a meadow that's in the middle of the woods somewhere. We built us a nice little campfire spot and we've spent many hours on these long summer nights just sitting around the campfire chatting and enjoying friends and family.

Right now the meadow is full of daisy's in bloom that are almost waist high. David's little sister Rose and I just couldn't get over how beautiful they were, so we made David take some pictures of us in them. The sun had just gone down and the sky still had it's golden cast before it quickly changed to twilight, so the lighting was just beautiful to capture the flowers... and us ;)

And sunsets always have, and always will be my favorite time of the day!!!
